Ancillary Testing & Chiropractic Services
The practice of Doctors Abrams, Piazza & Julewicz is committed to providing our patients with the most advanced diagnostic tests and tools to identify the root cause of their pain and to assist our doctors and therapists in developing individualized programs to accelerate a patient’s recovery.
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a term used to classify tools or aids that have a therapeutic benefit either in a patient’s home or in an approved medical care provider setting. Generally, lumbar belts, posture pumps, and tens units are the main examples of DME we prescribe to our patients to alleviate pain and correct a specific structural weakness or imbalance.
Electromyogram & Nerve Conduction Velocity (EMG/NCV) evaluates conditions related to the nerves and muscles as they exit the spine. They can be used to diagnose pinched nerves, diabetes, neuropathy, and other nerve conditions. Performing these tests allows our doctors to better diagnose and treat a patient’s condition.
